Thornaby cottage was perfect for our weekend away for my birthday. We booked the cottage last minute. With it being a new listing, I wouldn't have normally have selected it, I always opt for established accommodation with high ratings, but something told me to take a gamble and book it. The photos looked amazing and that was what convinced me. The right choice was definitely made. The new owners have done a beautiful job with the renovations, the house was airy and light, and had a lovely fresh fragrance, the decor was very tasteful and modern, no cheap tat. Everything we needed was in the property, even down to a first aid kit, which proved useful when my son had a minor cut during our stay. Milk and cakes were provided (huge thanks) The beds were very comfortable, we all slept really well. Kitchen was very well equipped (no shortage of wine glasses🍷) It was a nice sunny morning on the day we departed, so we were able to have a coffee on the lovely patio area, which was an unexpected bonus with it being early March. The location is perfectly situated, in the centre but not too close to noisy establishments, so you can have a night in without hearing the hustle and bustle of the nightlife. I highly recommend this property. I was also impressed by the customer service of the staff at the letting agent. They were very friendly and professional throughout. We had an issue with our car and we were unable to vacate the property by 10am, and I was able to contact them on a Sunday, and was told we could stay for as long as we needed that day, while trying to sort out the problem with the car. It was very much appreciated. We will definitely return in the near future. Apologies for forgetting to leave feedback in the guest book due to the stress of the car problem. See you again. Love the decor, very modern, stylish and comfortable. We had a great stay. The flat was very clean and had everything we needed during our visit. The host was very attentive and answered all our questions prior to and during our stay. The location is great, all tourist and local amenities are within a short walk from the flat and the location is quieter on an evening than other locations we have stayed at.
